One of the important services that Linux Journal can perform for the community
is to review products. To reach that goal we have established a team that
will perform reviews and report their findings in the pages of Linux Journal.
We have established the following guidelines:
- Only products directly related to Linux or of significant interest to Linux system users will be reviewed
- Reviewers will not be made aware of any special arrangements between LJ
and the product manufacturer concerning discounts that the reviewer may
receive on the product until after their review is complete
- LJ encourages people with different experiences with a product to write a
letter to the editor concerning their experiences.
If you know of a product that you feel should be reviewed by LJ, let us know
about it. We will contact the manufacturer and, if possible, schedule a review
for a future issue of LJ. If you are a manufacturer of a product, feel free
to let us know about your product.
If you would like to join the LJ review team, send us some info about
yourself and why you are qualified to review Linux-related products.
