The most popular enhancement option for the Paktronix Systems Firewall is IPSec VPN. The Paktronix Systems VPN connects any two or more networks across the Internet using full IPSec encryption technology. Advanced routing structures within the Linux 2.2 kernel enable multiple redundant routes with failover and priority routing services. The CPU of the firewall system is completely free to deal with firewall and advanced security functions. The IPSec hardware is not directly connected to any physical network, thus providing maximal protection and management of the VPN data streams.
